Xylitol made from wood in Finland

Xylitol is a good tasting sugar substitute that gained enormous importance in recent years due to its tooth friendliness. Xylitol is found naturally in corn or birch wood and is recovered from it.

The sweetening power is 100% - hence xylitol is just as sweet as sugar. This Xylitol is made from birch and beech in the European Union and is also known under the synonym birch sugar.
