With the help of fermentation, which is known e.g. from cheese production, it becomes calorie-free My Sweet organic erythritol. The crystalline structure of the natural sugar substitute is similar to that of conventional sugar.
Only the sweetening power of about 70% compared to household sugar is slightly lower.
